Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, ⅓ cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Grate or cut 5 tablespoons of cold or frozen butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture.
- Gently fold in 3 ounces of blueberries into the dough without crushing them.
- Pour 1 cup of cold milk into the mixture and stir gently until the dough just comes together.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat it down to about 1-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits.
- Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together 1 cup of powdered sugar, ⅛ cup of water, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice until smooth.
- Once the biscuits have cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over each warm biscuit and serve.
