Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Crispix cereal
  • 1 cup pecan halves salted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 250ºF (120ºC).
  2. Mix Crispix cereal and pecans in a large bowl.
  3. Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla and baking soda.
  5. Pour the warm mixture over the cereal and toss to coat.
  6. Spread the coated mixture evenly in a 9x13 inch pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  8. Cool on wax or parchment paper and break into pieces.
