Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in extracts.
  5. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the wet batter until just combined.
  6. Fold in sliced almonds and dried cranberries.
  7. Shape the dough into two logs on the baking sheet, about 10 inches long.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and firm. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Lower the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C). Slice the logs diagonally into ½-inch pieces.
  10. Arrange slices cut-side down on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes on each side.
  11. Cool completely on a wire rack before storing.
