Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in half-and-half, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract until just moistened.
- Knead the dough lightly, shape into a disc about 1 inch thick.
- Cut the disc into 8 wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush tops with half-and-half and sprinkle with sugar before baking.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and fragrant.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack, then drizzle with melted white chocolate.
- Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top before serving.
