- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter over low heat. Whisk in 1 cup of cocoa powder and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Transfer the cocoa mixture to a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1½ cups of brown sugar. Stir well, then add 3 large eggs until shiny and cohesive.
- Sift in 1½ cups of all-purpose flour and ½ teaspoon of salt into the batter. Gently fold until no lumps remain.
- Pour the thick brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of M&M's over the batter and press them gently into the surface.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
