Method
 

Basic Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter and flour.
  2. Cream unsalted butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, and then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. Mix in mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet batter, mixing gently until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  8. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar after it cools.
