- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter and flour.
- Cream unsalted butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, and then stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Mix in mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet batter, mixing gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar after it cools.
