Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat and cook until browned.
  3. In a large bowl, combine peach slices, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour in the warm brown butter and fold together.
  4. Roll out one pie crust and press it into the baking dish. Pre-bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour the peach filling over the pre-baked crust and spread evenly.
  6. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Cut into strips for a lattice look if desired.
  7. Brush the top crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle sugar on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  9. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
