Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mash the bananas in a separate bowl until smooth with a few small lumps.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the mashed bananas and optional nuts.
