Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of old-fashioned oats, 0.5 cup of brown sugar, and 0.5 cup of granulated sugar. Whisk until evenly blended.
- Pour 0.75 cup of melted unsalted butter into the bowl with your dry ingredients. Stir until crumbly and holds together in clumps.
- Press half of the crumbly oat mixture into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups of mixed berries, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. Gently toss until well-coated.
- Spread the berry mixture evenly over the crust in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumbly oat mixture over the top of the berries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes, checking for a golden top and bubbling berries.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the baking dish before slicing.
