Ingredients

For the Brownie Batter
  • 1.5 cups whole milk adds moisture and richness; don’t substitute with skim milk for best results
  • 1 cup white sugar provides sweetness and enhances the deep chocolate flavor
  • 1.5 cups sweet glutinous rice flour makes these brownies delightfully chewy; don’t use regular flour as a substitute
  • 0.5 cups cocoa powder adds a rich chocolate taste; opt for unsweetened for a pure chocolate experience
  • 0.5 cups dark chocolate chips offer pockets of melted chocolate goodness throughout the brownies
  • 3 large eggs help to bind the ingredients and create a cake-like structure
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder gives the brownies a little lift for a softer texture
  • 1 teaspoon granulated instant espresso powder enhances the chocolate flavor; you can skip it, but it’s worth it!
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt balances the sweetness and elevates the overall flavor profile
For Garnish (Optional)
  • flaky sea salt adds a delightful contrast to the sweetness; sprinkle just before serving
  • powdered sugar dust on top for an added touch of sweetness and elegance
  • melted chocolate drizzle for extra richness and presentation flair
